Project Description Schedule
Organization Background and Problem/Situation to be addressed
(This section is where you should explain two things: first, who or what your sponsor is or does, and second, what the problem/situation is that your project or work will address. If your work scenario doesn’t have a problem or situation to address, indicate what skills you hope to develop or goals you hope to achieve as a result of this internship.)
Engagement Scope and Objectives
(The engagement scope and objectives section should talk about the broad reasoning for this internship. What does your sponsor want out of this internship? What do you hope to accomplish in this internship/project?)
Approach, Tasks, and Schedule
(The approach, tasks, and schedule section narrows the engagement scope and objectives down to be more specific. You should specify the tasks you will undertake to accomplish the objectives or goals laid out. Also, create an expectation that you will have an internship conclusion meeting.)
Deliverables
(At the end of the project or your internship, what specific, measurable accomplishments will you be able to show to your sponsor? This could include your job performance, recommendations, and/or findings relevant to your internship work.)
Roles of the Student Intern and the Sponsor
(List everyone you will be working with on this project and what roles they will have. Indicate that you will professionally provide the agreed-upon deliverables. Critical to the success of your internship will be your ability to contact and/or meet with your sponsor regularly to obtain information and to have questions answered.)
