This text accompanies CAR 398 Internship at Ensign College. Its purpose is to help students develop competencies in implementing and completing individual and team project-based internships in a professional manner. These same competencies can be utilized throughout their careers as they participate in teams and in projects. The content is designed to reach the professional objectives of:
Demonstrating the ability to complete professional project management and communicate effectively in an internship setting.
Identifying opportunities to work in teams established to work on a project or creating teamwork opportunities with co-workers and peers.
Gaining real-world work experience in the industry of the student’s program/major.
Developing meaningful and useful professional relationships that may open doors for future opportunities.
And, strengthening the student’s career management skills by articulating the effect of their internship experience on their individual marketable value in their professional portfolio.
