Dr. Abbie H. Brown is an award-winning educator and scholar who helps people make best use of technology innovations in instructional settings. He engages in field work with innovative technologies in educational settings, and studies the trends and issues that influence the field of Instructional Design/Technology. He specializes in online learning, and provides consultation, presentations and workshops for school districts, colleges and universities, the U.S. government, and businesses worldwide. He has served as Professor and Chair of the Department of Mathematics, Science and Instructional Technology Education, East Carolina University, and is the author with Timothy Green of The Essentials of Instructional Design and the Trends & Issues in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, & Learning Sciences Podcast. He is also former Editor-in-Chief of the journal, TechTrends.
