Trudy K. Christensen, PhD, is an assistant professor in the Digital Media Department at Utah Valley State College and founder and president of Learning Connections, a consulting company specializing in the design and development of instructional solutions for corporate and educational clients. Over the past 25 years, she has been interested in finding innovative ways to use simulations and computer tools to support learner-centered environments in public schools, colleges, and corporations. Her current interests include exploring ways to use new and emerging digital media tools and technologies to connect college and university learners with the communities in which they live and with their intended communities of practice.
