Dr. Kurt Squire is a professor of digital media in the Department of Curriculum & Instruction at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is also the co-director of the Games+Learning+Society Center in the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery. His research focuses on game-based learning and its implementation in educational systems. He was formerly research manager of the Games-to-Teach Project at MIT, co-director of the Education Arcade, columnist for Computer Games magazine, and co-founder of Joystick101.org. Dr. Squire received his PhD in instructional systems technology from Indiana University.
