Jennifer Jacobs

Jennifer Jacobs is an Associate Research Professor at the University of Colorado Boulder in the Institute of Cognitive Science. Her research focuses on classroom teaching and learning of mathematics and science, and models of professional development to support teachers and their students. Most recently, Jacobs has been a PI or Co-PI on studies looking at the effectiveness of a geometry professional development program, designing an application to provide automated feedback on teachers’ discourse practices, and integrating sensor technology into middle school science and STEM classrooms. She received her BA in psychology and Japanese from the University of Michigan, and her MA and Ph.D. in psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles.
